Terms of Service

UpSkilliT Studio (studio.upskillit.com, "Studio", "we", "us") is operated by UPSKILLIT TRAINING SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED, 715-A, 7th Floor, Spencer Plaza, Suite No. 183, Mount Road, Anna Salai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600002, India. By signing in or using Studio you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Studio.

1. What Studio does

Studio lets you create original music and short videos with artificial intelligence (AI):

• Songs: you (or our Ask assistant) write the lyrics and choose a style; our AI composes and sings the song.
• Videos: made either on our own studio GPU with the MiniMax H3 model ("Studio", for verified Indian mobile numbers, labelled "Powered by MiniMax H3") or with Google's Veo model (which adds Google's invisible SynthID watermark).
• Lip-sync videos: a photo of a face (or two faces for a duet) sings part of a song, made on our studio GPU.
• ✨ Ask: an AI chat assistant that answers questions and prepares songs and videos for you (see 4d).

Results are generated automatically and vary each time — two requests with the same words will not come out the same.

2. Your account

• You sign in with your Google account or your Indian mobile number. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use Studio.
• One person, one account. Creating several accounts to collect welcome credits is not allowed; we may close such accounts and remove their credits.

3. Credits and payments

• Studio works on prepaid credits. A song uses 1 credit for each started minute of its length (for example, a 2-minute song uses 2 credits). A video uses credits according to its quality, length and resolution. The cost is always shown before you create.
• New accounts with a verified mobile number receive free welcome credits, valid for 30 days, that can be used for songs only (also referral credits). While our offer lasts, each verified account can make one free first video (Standard quality). The number of free credits and free videos may change or end at any time. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Credits that expire cannot be restored or refunded.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, and can only be used on Studio.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• If a song or video fails to generate, or a video is blocked by safety filters, its credits are returned automatically.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. What you may not do

You agree not to use Studio to create, upload or request content that:

• copies lyrics, melodies or other material you do not have the right to use (for example, songs written by others);
• imitates or claims to be a real singer, artist or public figure, or uses their name to pass off a song as theirs;
• shows or involves children, shows famous or public people, or shows any real person without their permission;
• is defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, threatens anyone, or promotes violence or discrimination;
• is unlawful in India or infringes anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights.

You also agree not to attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer Studio, or try to get around credit limits. We may refuse requests, remove content, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

4a. Videos and lip-sync videos made from your photos

• You may upload photos only of yourself, or of adults who have given you permission to use their likeness. Photos of children and of famous or public people are not allowed.
• Lip-sync and duet videos make a face sing. Use a face only if that person (you, or an adult who agreed) is happy to be shown singing that song. For a duet, you need the permission of both people.
• You must not use photo videos to impersonate, mislead, harass, defame or embarrass anyone, or to create political or news-like content that could be mistaken for real footage.
• You are solely responsible for the photos you upload and the videos you create and share. We may remove videos, suspend accounts and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities or affected persons.
• Photo videos require a verified mobile number. All videos carry a visible AI label (see 4b).
• Photos are used only to make that one video and are deleted from our storage as soon as it is made.

4c. Audio and songs you use

• Lip-sync videos use a song you made on Studio. Where Studio lets you upload your own audio, you may upload only audio that you own or have permission to use — for example your own singing or music you created or licensed. Each upload asks you to confirm this.
• Do not upload film songs, commercial music or other people's recordings unless you hold the rights or a licence, and do not upload anyone's voice without their permission. Copyright in songs, recordings and lyrics belongs to their owners; using them without permission may break the Copyright Act, 1957.
• You are solely responsible for the audio, lyrics and photos you provide and for how you use and share the results. You agree to compensate UpSkilliT for losses and claims caused by content you provided in breach of these terms. We act on complaints as described in section 11.
• Uploaded audio is private to your account, used only to make your videos, and deleted automatically (see our Privacy Policy).

4d. ✨ Ask (AI chat assistant)

• Ask is an AI. Its answers may be incomplete or wrong; check anything important. It is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
• Ask never makes anything or uses credits by itself: it shows a card with the price, and only your tap on that card's button starts a song or video, under the same rules and prices as the other tabs.
• Lyrics Ask writes for you are treated like lyrics you write (section 5). Do not type passwords, OTPs or card details in the chat.

4b. AI labels (India's IT Rules, 2026)

• As required by law, every song starts with a short spoken "AI-generated song", every video carries a small visible "AI-generated · UpSkilliT Studio" label, and the files carry an identifier showing they were made with Studio. Google Veo videos also carry Google's invisible SynthID watermark; Studio videos are made with MiniMax H3 and must keep the "Powered by MiniMax H3" credit shown with them.
• Studio videos made with MiniMax H3 are offered to users in India only (verified +91 mobile numbers), as its licence requires.
• If you remove, crop, trim or hide these labels, or present AI content as real, you are responsible for that use and for complying with the law. We remind all users of these rules at least once every three months.

5. Your songs

• You keep the rights to the lyrics you write. Subject to these terms and the law, you may use the songs you create on Studio for personal and commercial purposes — for example in your videos, films, events and social media.
• Because songs are made by AI, we cannot promise that a song is unique or that it can be registered as your copyright. AI may, by chance, produce music similar to existing works. You are responsible for checking that your use of a song is lawful.
• You give us permission to store and process your lyrics and songs to provide Studio, and to keep them for security, legal and support purposes. We do not publish your songs or use them in our marketing without your permission.
• You can delete any song or video at any time (My creations → More → Delete). Its share and gift links stop working. Credits used for it are not refunded.

6. Service availability

We work to keep Studio available and fast, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or that every song will meet your expectations. We may change, pause or discontinue features. If we permanently close Studio, we will refund the value of unused purchased credits that have not expired.

7. Limitation of liability

Studio is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will show a notice on Studio. Continuing to use Studio after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly.

11. Copyright and content complaints (notice and takedown)

• Studio hosts content that users create and provide. We do not check every song, photo or audio file before it is made, and we do not claim rights in what users provide. We respect copyright and act quickly on complaints.
• To report content that uses your work, voice or face without permission, use the Report button on the page or email our Grievance Officer at jag@upskillit.com with: your name and contact details; the work or right you own; the link to the content on Studio; and a statement that the information is true and that you own the right or act for its owner.
• We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours. On a valid, specific complaint we remove or disable the content within 36 hours, and faster where the law requires (for example within 2 hours for intimate or sexual deepfakes, and within the time given in a court or government order).
• The user who provided the content is told and may reply with a counter-notice if they believe the removal was a mistake. Accounts that repeatedly infringe others' rights are closed.
